Sidenote

I "grew up" in small airports in South Florida following my uncle around the tarmac with my sister and our best bud, an English bull terrier, in tow. My uncle is a long-time cargo (and passenger) pilot and diesel mechanic. Because of that, I have always had a soft spot in my heart for aviation. Before finding journalism, my first dream was to become an air traffic controller.
